Steering Link Assortment – XB2 / XT2/ SCX Series
This Steering Link Assortment is designed to give racers more precise tuning options for their XB2, XT2 and SCX platforms. There are four custom lengths:
1 mm | 1.5 mm | 2 mm | 2.5 mm | 3 mm | 3.5 mm | 4 mm
1W mm | 1.5W mm | 2W mm | 2.5W mm
Unlike Xray’s stock links, which increase in 2 mm increments, these fill the gaps between standard sizes—plus add a longer option specifically developed to calm steering response in extreme high-grip conditions.

Tuning Range & Feel

Short Circle links (1–1.5 mm) → Produce a more aggressive, direct steering feel, ideal for tight, technical layouts.
- Medium Circle links (2-2.5 mm) → Deliver smoother mid- and exit-corner stability, especially useful on high-traction carpet and sealed clay.
- Long Circle links (3–4 mm) → Deliver a duller mid- and exit-corner feel for the XT2 and SCX, especially useful on high-traction carpet and sealed clay for the trucks. Takes a significant portion of the steering away. Great for surfaces where the car feels so twitchy you have to turn your dual rate way down. Will give the car a significant push feel.You will need a steering stop to use these.
- Square Style Links (1–3 mm) → These are the wheeler steering links. The description above also holds true for these links. The difference they make is it takes a portion of your initial steering and turns it into on power steering (smaller as you go up in number). These are commonly used on carpet to make a smoother feel car.
- The most common used links are the 2.5 Square on clay, 1.5 Circle on small to medium carpet tracks, 2 Circle on medium to large Carpet tracks, and 2.5 Circle on the XT2 and SCX.
