22x, 22x-T Gull Lowering Kit
22X Gull Lowering Kit
We’ll admit it — Xray brought something special to carpet racing, much like the 13mm AE Revolution and the move to mid-motor platforms. The Gull Lowering Kit introduced on the XB2 ’25 has helped reshape modern carpet setups.
We’ve developed kits for Stadium Trucks, AE now offers a B7.1 version (and we have our own design as well), and now we’re proud to offer a complete 22X Gull Lowering Kit.
This kit includes everything required to complete the conversion.
Included:
-
1x Gull Shock Tower
-
1x Pair Gull Adapters
-
2x 8mm Set Screws
-
2x 8mm Button Head Screws
-
2x Aluminum Flanged Nuts
-
2x Tower Spacer
-
2x 14mm Button Head Screws
-
2x 20mm Button Head Screws
-
2x 2mm Carbon Fiber Shims
- 4x Tower Guards with Mounting Hardware
What It Does
This kit lowers the rear shock mounting position and allows the shocks to be run in a flipped orientation for that true pro-level feel.
On track, we’ve experienced:
-
Improved landings on power — straight and at angle
-
Increased on-power steering
-
More planted rear grip
-
No loss in jumping ability
-
All in a super low CG package
The result is a car that feels calmer in transitions but more aggressive when you’re back on throttle.
Installation Notes
-
Keep your stock shock build — no internal changes required.
-
Install the new tower with the included 2mm Tower Spacer behind it.
-
Reuse your stock 10mm flat head screws for the tower.
Arm & Adapter Setup:
-
Thread the 8mm set screw at least 5mm into the arm in your desired position.
-
If using the two outside holes, the offset portion of the Gull Adapter MUST face inward.
-
If using the two inside holes, the adapter can be mounted either direction.
-
We recommend using the two outside holes with the offset pointed inward.
-
Insert the 20mm screw from the rear into the slotted area.
-
Tighten the flanged nut firmly against the adapter.
-
Use the 8mm button head to secure the adapter to the arm.
Shock Mounting:
-
Slide the shock into your preferred position.
-
We recommend running the shocks flipped, but they may also be mounted upright.
-
When running upright, use the included 2mm carbon fiber shims between the flanged nut and adapter, along with the second tower shim and otherwise mount your shocks as normal.
- 12mm flat head screws are required for upright configuration.
-
Use the 16mm screw to secure the shock eyelet to the back of the tower.
- Mount the Tower Guards with the included m2.5x8mm Screw and Nut.
Set ride height… and go throw down some Hot Laps.
